Basic Function of Position
The incumbents drive for the State motor pool, transporting Embassy
Staff and visitors, as well as delivering Embassy correspondence as
required. The incumbents operate armored vehicles to include vans and
Sport Utility Vehicles (SVUs), as well as un armored vehicles.
Qualifications
Required
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below
with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
Completion of senior high school and driver training school is required.
Minimum two years driving experience is required.
Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in English
and Bahasa Indonesia are required. Language proficiency will be tested.
If you have taken a TOEIC or TOEFL test administered by ETS within 6
months, please attach the certificate.
Familiar with Jakarta traffic laws, good knowledge of Jakarta’s
metropolitan area roads and locations of government offices and foreign
embassies.
Must be able to drive all types of vehicles and perform
preventive maintenance checks to include adding water and oil as
necessary and check tires for condition and proper inflation level. Must
possess a valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM-B1) – A copy must be
attached to applications. Driving skill will be tested.
Selection Process
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs)
and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that
the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in
the application.
Additional Selection Criteria
Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating
of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee
Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member
Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions
within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement
(PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first
90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a
position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
The candidate must be able to obtain and hold an FSN security clearance.
