The
Director of ABC International, Ms Lynley Marshall, will be in Indonesia this
week to sign partnership agreements with
Detik, Kompas, Tribunnews.com, Republika Online and
Fajar Media Group. The agreements will see greater sharing of news content between ABC Australia and the Indonesian media
and a dedicated ABC news feed on all the
Indonesian online sites.
‘These
agreements mark an important and significant step in the growing relationship
between the ABC and key Indonesian media companies’, Ms Marshall said. ‘It will
allow both countries to share their stories and engage more on issues of mutual
interest’.
‘What
I think is most exciting about these partnerships is that they will provide
opportunities for both Australians and Indonesians to discuss and exchange
points of view as friends and as neighbours’.
During
her visit, Ms Marshall will be opening a workshop for the Indonesian student
press club at Binus University in Jakarta.
